WEB: Citizens for Will Kraus

Will Kraus for Lee’s Summit City Council

We were excited to work with our friend, Will Kraus, to design and develop his campaign website – willkraus.com. Our aim was to combine Will’s experience, integrity and love for his community with a fresh front-end look and slick backend function as we developed and configured a new site on the WordPress platform. Clear calls-to-action, dedicated content sections, interactive components, and visual representations and value props.

Will’s leadership experience began over thirty years ago when he joined the U. S. Army as a mechanized infantryman. Will attended flight school and graduated as a Chinook Helicopter Pilot in 1999. In 2003, Will served in Iraq as Platoon leader and the Company’s ground convoy commander. As an aviator, while serving as an Air Mission Commander in charge of missions involving multiple aircraft, his decisions were responsible for hundreds of soldier’s lives. He continues to serve in the Missouri National Guard, as a Blackhawk pilot.

After serving on active duty, he attended Central Missouri State University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a minor in Military Science, graduating Summa Cum Laude.

Will was elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in 2004 and was elected to the Senate in 2010.

In his elected capacity, Senator Kraus fought hard to protect the interests of the taxpayer and to promote fiscally sound budget practices for the state of Missouri. As a small business owner, he continues to be involved and knowledgeable on issues that affect business and jobs in Missouri.

Will has won awards such as the VFW Legislator of the Year, the “A Better Missouri for Children Award” from the Missouri PTA, the Locke and Smith Award for most constitutional senator, and the Missouri Chamber’s “Spirit of Enterprise” award.

From Will:

In the early 2000’s, I was frustrated with the government and was complaining one day, and Carmen said something like you need to shut up or run.

Consequently, I filed for Alderman (Raytown’s City Council), but later withdrew due to a deployment to Iraq. When I returned from deployment, I ran for State Representative.

I can no longer just sit back and just complain; I’ve decided to be part of the solution. On December 30th, I filed for Lee’s Summit City Council, District 2.

I believe in representative government, just as I did when I was in the Missouri House and Senate. My door is always open — I don’t hide! My cell phone, 816-305-0712, is on my website and I will meet with anyone to discuss any issue.

If you believe this is how the government should be run, please consider helping with my campaign. We get a better government if we are involved “be a part of the solution”

God Bless,
Will
