WEB: Uncontained Photography

December 9th, 2008

Uncontained Photography received a site makeover and a rebuilt engine on Wordpress. Partnered with Baldology on this one, and Baldology does GREAT designs! Pretty straight forward and to the point. Actually only took about 4 hours from start to finish.

Today, Uncontained Photography is a studio that provides contemporary photography where you become the focal point, specializing in canvas wall portraits providing your home or office with extraordinary art.

Uncontained Photography is not your standard portrait studio as over the last decade it has specialized in physique, vehicles, trash the dress, newborns, couples, individuals, musicians, tattoo, travel, stock and wedding photography.

Integrity, professionalism and high attention to detail are some of the attributes that you can expect from Uncontained Photography. A strong dedication to customer service has been developed through years of community involvement, volunteering and actively being a part of many charity fundraisers and events within the greater Edmonton area.

WEB: Lemon Lime Photography

December 9th, 2008

LemonLime Photography was overhauled with a new Wordpress engine and theme, and utilizes some crazy plugin customizations.

We’ve integrated a random sequencer flash header to the site that controls the main navigation and the upper site identification graphics. Then, we customized the stylesheet(s) so that the various backgrounds can be interchangeable when desired.

We integrated a sort of “pull-down” comment section that is disguised as a napkin sliding underneath a placemat on a picnic table … we were pretty excited at the slickness of this integration!

Baldology does GREAT designs!

LemonLime Photography is a photo collaborative between two photographers, Eric Linebarger and Neal Troester, and is based out of Kansas City.

An elegant style with an edge may be what best describes our shooting style. More importantly our story telling is always done by two photographers. Not one photographer and his or her assistant. Two equal collaborators.

WEB: Roadside Families Project

December 9th, 2008

The Roadside Families Project site was put together in cooperation with Baldology. Down and dirty and straight-to-the-point. Wordpress engine with a few customized plugins.

John Michael and Dalisa Cooper of altF started a Pay-It-Forward project to help photographers get in front of the lens with their families. Something photographers are notorious for not doing. These are their stories.

The rules were simple – we photograph a family, we send them the files and send them a print for their wall. Simply Canvas was kind enough to sponsor our first round, giving each of the 37 families a canvas print for their wall to kick off the whole project. – After that each family photographed has to pay by “Paying it Forward”. Shoot another photographer and their family, give them the files, send them a print for their wall and make sure they will Pay their dues by Paying it Forward. No money is to be exchanged. Our hopes are that not only will photographers all over the world now be given the gift back that they perform on a daily basis, but they will be photographed again and again documenting the growth of their families through out the years.

WEB: American International College

July 15th, 2008

The Career Institute of American International College was a cooperative project between 7Places and PlattForm. Originally intended to be a simple static paged site, this project quickly increased in scope as the needs grew to a dynamic content replacement system.

Drupal was chosen for this site as its content management system. Drupal provides flexibility in a multitude of areas on the site where each section of the site can be applied to specific pages easily through a backend admin section. Drupal integration is new to 7Places, and much was learned through this process.

Also scheduled for round 2 implementation is a dimensional video that will reside on the homepage. Users will be able to interact with students represented on the homepage and hear a quick version of their testimony about the school and their field of study.

WEB: First Baptist Church | O’Fallon

March 24th, 2008

First Baptist Church | O’Fallon (www.firstofallon.com, formerly www.fbcoministry.org) is coming off a multi-year run of using a template-driven, non-SEO friendly, large ID strings in the links site that had table-based, invalid, depricated code.

We updated their look with a custom graphical user interface (GUI), an integrated content management system using Wordpress as its engine, custom programming to rotate or switch custom header images based on ministry section, programming to pull specific side navigation elements based on page viewed, custom SlideShowPro integration for event listings on homepage, custom news scroller sitewide that pulls feed from certain category, new podcasting and vidcasting options and multiple custom contact or registration forms.

The mission of First Baptist Church | O’Fallon is to lead people to faith in Christ and growth in Christ-likeness. We believe Jesus Christ desires a personal relationship with each person on earth – including you! First Baptist Church | O’Fallon simply wants to help lead you in a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
